Who are “the sustained”?
All of us.
We as men and women are key to sustaining the environment we live in. Being aware of our influence on the earth’s health is what can improve the current state of deforestation, climate change, extinction, plastic in oceans, and the health of humans. As good stewards we should take action in what’s good and loving! When our hearts are changed our actions transform too. This is not your typical environmental page, it’s so MUCH more.
This platform is where you will find the love of God, love for the earth and how to better love yourself. All of these are like a ripple effect, flowing together as one. The content will be fun, inspiring, informational and maybe goofy at times. If you are interested in nature, health, love, Jesus, community, stewardship, sustainability, zero waste living, gardening, natural products, adventure, travel, or need encouraging words, love, light and peace this is the space and place for you. 🙌🏼🌿
We are called to be stewards over the earth. To conduct, supervise or manage over creation. When we take care our natural resources, our environment, our health and above all each other we are caring, proactive stewards.
“The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.”
- Genesis 2:15 NLT

Hi I’m Abby! The face behind this mission. At first introduction, I’m soft generally spoken and shy, but once we get to know each other I’m quirky, playful and quite honestly, sometimes dramatic, with a Jim Carrey-like sense of humor. Fun fact, I’ve had a spaghetti noodle come out my nose! I am 27 years old and as long as I can remember I've been passionate about art, nature and family.
I am a creative through and through. Fine arts, photography, crafts, and graphic design define my life. I am the Visual Designer & Photographer in Salt Lake City, UT, but I’m originally from Pennsylvania where my mom, dad, twin sisters, yellow lab and boyfriend still reside. 🤍 I stay active and healthy by hiking, going to the gym, skiing and adventuring National Parks. Still, you can catch me sneaking chocolate from the cabinets once and a while.
My playground was nature growing up. My sisters and I were either in the woods building forts, rolling in the grass or swimming in local lakes. My mom is my greatest advocate for environmental sustainability. When I was 6 she informed me that littering “hurts” the earth. Graphically, in my young mind, I envisioned it cutting into the surface of the earth like a wound. From that moment forward I have developed an intrinsic desire to bandage the wounds and nurture nature. As I’ve grown with knowledge and concern I can no longer stand idle. While I firmly believe the ultimate state fo the earth is in God's capable hands, but as His children, we have been given a command to “tend to the earth” which is something we need to work on without yield. This calling has motivated me to invite others along to fulfill His plan and make a change!
So if you’re in, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
Make sure to bring the bandaids we’ve got wounds to patch. 🩹🌎
